Dr Anna Gilliland, MA (Cantab), MA, MSc (MAPPCP), PhD

I completed my first degree in History at King’s College, Cambridge University. I went on to study for an MA in Information Management at Sheffield University, before gaining my PhD in Ancient History from the University of London.

I am a professionally qualified proofreader and a certified CELTA Teacher (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). I am also a certified Professional Coach (University of Cambridge) and a registered Member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).

I have held positions in various universities in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. My roles have primarily been concerned with quality assurance and the enhancement of programme standards. My own academic background, coupled with my professional roles in world-class universities, gives me a unique insight into the needs and standards required for both academics and students presenting in English.
