Yes. I work with students and academics all over the world, including scholars whose first language is not English. Many students have difficulties precisely because English is not their first language. A review will enable you to ensure your piece of work is graded on your ideas and not your language errors. By providing both the final and corrected drafts, you are also able to see where you have gone wrong, and you can develop your English language skills for future studies.
I will confirm your deadline date via email before beginning any review. While offering a fast and efficient service, I also pride myself on providing a comprehensive one as well. As a general guide, a review for a shorter piece of work (e.g. a 3000 word assignment) will be completed within two working days. An extended piece of work (e.g. a 10,000-15,000 word thesis/article) would require between seven to ten working days. All review schedules are subject to the academic calendar.
All documents must be supplied as Word documents. I review on-screen using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes feature.
Spell check is a great tool, but it cannot do everything. If, for example, you have sentences that are repeating themselves, or your idea is not being conveyed concisely, you need your work properly reviewied by an academic writing mentor. Also, a spell check only checks whether an individual word is spelt correctly, not whether it is the correct word within the textual context (e.g. ‘read’ and ‘reed’).
Proofreading is the final check on a document before publication. It includes checking for typos, errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic formatting inconsistencies. Academic English Review undertakes all of these tasks and, in addition, provides mentoring guidance through analysing your text to suggest amendments to improve the flow and clarity of your style. This will enhance the overall content, structure and style of your writing in a way that proofreading alone cannot, as well as develop your general academic vocabulary and writing skills for future work.
When you send me your document you can specify which reference style you are using, or you can provide me with an extended description of the specific guidelines. I am happy using any style guides including; Oxford, American Psychological Association (APA), Modern Language Association (MLA), Chicago Manual of Style, and Harvard Referencing. Please send me the details when you submit your document for review.
I can assure you that your writing, spelling, and grammar will be better after a review a Review and will maximise your chances of obtaining the best grade possible. I will also help your writing by highlighting potential weaknesses in your arguments or areas that could be developed. Ultimately, however, your final grade will depend on how much effort you have made and what your tutor/institution requires from you.
I will proofread, edit and provide mentoring guidance to help you improve and develop what you have written, but all work must be your own. Academic English Review is an review service only and works in compliance with university regulations for academic submission.
Once I have completed your review I will send a payment request via email with full payment details.
I base all reviews on a straight-forward rate per word. I prefer this method, as it allows you to know exactly what the price is before the review starts, as opposed to hourly rates, which are open-ended.
