I have worked in Higher Education for over 30 years, holding positions in universities across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. My roles have primarily been concerned with quality assurance, strategic planning, and the enhancement of programme standards.

As an experienced copy editor, I have worked with a number of organisations and NGOs, including the World Health Organization, as well as individual clients who have published in a wide range of peer-reviewed journals. I am a highly experienced editor of Master’s and doctoral theses, reviewing and supervising postgraduate final projects. I also work with a wide range of educators and trainers in supporting new and existing training and educational programmes, reviewing content, materials and assessment alignment. I offer quality assurance reviews of training and CPD programmes, helping providers ensure their materials are coherent, well-mapped to learning outcomes, and fit for accreditation or assessment purposes.

I completed my first degree in History at King’s College, Cambridge University. I went on to study for an MA in Information Management at Sheffield University, before gaining my PhD in Ancient History from the University of London, and later an MSc in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology from the University of East London.

I am a professionally qualified proofreader and a certified CELTA Teacher (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). I am also a professionally certified Coach (AC / University of Cambridge) and an EMCC Accredited Coach / Mentor at Senior Practitioner level. I hold a Primary Certificate in Coaching Psychology Supervision (IAFPD), an Accredited Diploma in Coaching Supervision (AC), and am an EMCC Accredited Individual Supervisor. I am an External Examiner for a Master’s programme, reviewing units and modules across the full programme, as well as final research dissertations. I am an Alumni Career Mentor for the University of Cambridge.
